Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk

AS PER LATEST FEDERAL GUIDANCE, FACE COVERINGS ARE OPTIONAL WHILE ONBOARD THE BUS.
We have worked extensively with our bus company partners, Academy Bus, Krapfs Coaches & Premier Coach, to provide each student and their family the safest possible ride.

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization and is reported to be contagious. Our current knowledge of the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact and possibly by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects or in the air. People reportedly can be infected, show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. The exact methods of spread and contraction are unknown, and there is no known cure for COVID-19, at this time. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illness and even death.

Despite significant efforts to regularly clean all vehicles and equipment used to transport passengers and take appropriate measures to mitigate the presence of, or exposure to the COVID-19 virus, CoTo Travel, its bus company partners and partner institutions, cannot prevent you [or your child(ren), family and guests] from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while utilizing CoTo Travel’s services. Actual presence of the virus is an unknown and it is not possible to always safeguard said vehicles and equipment against the presence of the disease.

Therefore, if you choose to utilize CoTo Travel’s services and/or enter onto/into CoTo Travel’s premises or buses, you assume any/all risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19 or any other communicable disease.

CoTo Travel encourages all passengers to wear proper face/breathing protection, follow CDC guidance and bring their own personal protective equipment (disinfectant, face masks, protective gloves, etc.)

You MUST be able to store your carry on in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you upon request of our staff at any time during the trip. What type of bus will be used on this trip?

Our company manages this transportation program in cooperation with the University of Vermont. To fulfill our obligation to you, our guest and the college, we contract with reputable, fully insured motorcoach companies. While most trips will operate with vehicles equipped with restrooms, there may be instances where we may use smaller vehicles including mini buses and vans to operate the trip. We will provide full guidance on what type of bus to expect, what it looks like, and in most cases, the name of the driver or greeter to whom you will check in with the day before each trip via email.

Are you affiliated with the university?

Our service is not affiliated with the University of Vermont and is operated independently of the university.
